To begin designing your microfluidic circuit you may use a template AutoCAD file provided here. The typical mold size is a 4inch circular silicon wafer. The file workspace is divided into four quadrants with a complete microfluidic design in the upper right quadrant for a four inch wafer layout.
Reminders:
1) Create your design in a single AutoCAD file with separate layers for distinct layers of your chip.
2) Do not scale your design before submitting to the foundry – this will be done by the foundry.
3) Include important information on your design including your name, institution, layer name, mask name, etc. (see Mask Design Rules for an AutoLISP file which can create text for you automatically).
4) Number and label each different chip variety you design.
